I’ve used the bet365 app for over a decade. It’s my default for live scores and football betting. Simplicity is the edge: even if you’ve never used a bookie app, the path from home screen to bet slip is obvious.

I’ve been reviewing and using bet365 on mobile since 2012. For context, here’s an older build of the home screen:

UK licence

Sports betting is offered by Hillside (UK Sports) LTD under Gambling Commission account 55148. Gaming products sit under Hillside (UK Gaming) LTD, account 55149.

Key features

Live streaming

There’s a dedicated streaming hub for upcoming events. UK horse racing is the headline; you’ll also see football, tennis, baseball, ice hockey, greyhounds and more depending on rights. Look for the play icon next to a fixture. Geo rules apply — open the app where you are to see what’s available. Wi‑Fi is safer unless your data plan is generous.

In-play betting

The in-play centre is packed on busy days. Football matches surface live stats (possession, dangerous attacks and similar) above the markets. Biggest events sit on the home screen; most sports have at least some in-play coverage via the top quick links.

Football

From Premier League to lower leagues and the major European competitions, coverage is deep. Featured matches sit at the top of the football section, with a long league list underneath and the usual major markets further down the page.

Horse racing

You can bet far beyond UK racing, and stream UK meetings when your account and location allow (funded-account rules can apply). Multiples, Lucky 15s, handicaps and ante-post early prices are all there.

Position Payout is bet365’s simpler take on place-style racing bets: pick a horse and the return scales with how high it finishes. Full terms are in the racing section of the app.

How to register

1. Open the app or join flow and tap Join Now.
2. Enter name, date of birth, email, phone, address, username and password.
3. Add a bonus code only if you have one.
4. Set contact preferences and confirm you are 18+ and accept the terms.

How to deposit

From the home screen (logged in), use Deposit top-right. First time, you’ll add a payment method. Common options include debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Pay by Bank, Revolut Pay, Trustly, PayPal, paysafecard and wire transfer — limits differ by method (often £5 minimum on cards / Apple Pay / Google Pay).

How to place your first bet

1. Find the event via home highlights, sport tabs, All Sports, or search.
2. Open the event and tap the odds for your selection.
3. Enter a stake in the bet slip (start small until you’re used to the flow).
4. Tap Place bet when the button turns active.

How to place an accumulator

1. Add multiple selections (e.g. several football matches, or mix markets).
2. Open the bet slip — choose the accumulator / multiple line you want.
3. Enter stake, check returns, place bet.

How to cash out

Log in. Use the Cash Out item in the bottom menu if you have it, or open My Bets and cash out from open bets that show an offer. Cash out is never guaranteed and can be withdrawn from a market at any time.

My Bets (bottom menu on the app) shows Open, Live and Settled bets.

How to verify your account

Account icon → My Account → Verification. You’ll usually upload ID (passport or driving licence) plus proof of address (utility or council tax bill). Enhanced checks (affordability) can ask for bank statements or payslips if stakes or deposits are high.

How to withdraw

1. Account icon → Banking → Withdraw.
2. Money normally returns via the same method you deposited with.
3. If that isn’t possible (e.g. some wallet methods), bet365 may fall back to bank transfer to a matching-name account.

Bet credits

Bet credits are bet365’s flexible free-bet style balance. See them under your account balance and in My Offers. Stake rules and expiry sit in each offer’s terms.

History and win/loss

Account → History for bets, deposits and withdrawals. Win/Loss can be filtered across Sports / Lotto / Gaming for a date range (max window is limited — typically up to six months per look-up).

Charts for wins/losses, net deposits, stakes, time spent, reality checks and when bets were placed. Filter last 7 days, 30 days or 12 months.

Deposit limits

Set caps for 24 hours, 7 days and/or 30 days. Decreases apply quickly; increases are delayed (typically 24 hours) so you can’t impulse them away.

Time-out

Temporary full block for a period you choose (presets or custom to the minute). Confirm with your password.

Self-exclusion

Longer blocks: 6 months, 1, 2 or 5 years. You can exclude from sports, poker and/or gaming products — note casino/gaming selections can bundle together. This cannot be reversed early.

Account closure

Temporary or indefinite. Pick a duration/date and a reason (or prefer not to say), confirm with password.

Reality checks

On-screen reminders every 10, 20, 30 minutes or hourly. Shorter intervals apply immediately; longer ones after a delay.

Account history reminders

Net deposit limits

Separate from standard deposit limits — used to cap net deposits over a period. If you hit a net deposit limit, you won’t be able to add more funds until the window resets or the limit is changed under the usual cooling-off rules.
