Live streaming — WHTV

William Hill’s live streaming service is branded WHTV. Coverage includes tennis, horse racing, football and greyhounds (rights and location permitting). To watch an available stream you must have placed a bet within the last 24 hours or have a positive account balance.

Look for the television icons next to applicable events. By default, tapping into a live event opens a digital visualisation of the action; tap Watch on applicable events for the live stream.

Cash-out before a bet has settled

Cash-out lets you lock in a return while play is still ongoing. Availability isn’t guaranteed on every bet, but where an offer shows you can take it from open bets.

• Head to your open bets — an icon shows a cash-out amount if one is available.
• Tap cash-out to settle the bet for the stated amount.

Horse racing

William Hill has long been associated with National Hunt and flat racing, and that transfers to the app. Links with the Racing Post feed a wealth of UK racing information. Beyond the UK you’ll find markets across Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South America, plus virtual racing.

Expect regular offers and free bets, non-runner-no-bet markets, daily boosts on popular races, and ante-post prices for big meetings such as Royal Ascot, the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National. Multiples including Lucky Bets, Trixies and each-way options are available.

Final One Standing

A free football game with cash prizes for whoever is last standing in a league of players all trying to pick a winning team from a set competition. If your team wins you progress; if it loses you’re out. The last player standing takes the pot. If a round ends with all players losing, the pot is shared across losers in that last round; it’s also shared between those who win in the final round. You can create a private game between friends and set the league and rules yourself.

Bonus Drop Boost

A daily bonus that encourages regular logins. Players use one disc a day to drop into one of three slots. Saturday through Thursday the disc lands in a winning or losing partition; Friday is Boost day, where everyone who takes part is guaranteed a prize. Play three times during the week and the Friday boost is doubled; play six times and it is tripled. Prizes can include free plays, free bonuses and cash — full terms apply.

Acca Freedom explained

Example: an upcoming Premier League match — Bournemouth to beat Newcastle away.

1. On the homepage, use the search tool at the top when you know the event.
2. Type a relevant search term to locate the fixture.
3. Match-winner odds often appear under the result — tap the price you want (or open the fixture for the full market list).
4. The selection turns blue and a bet slip appears at the bottom.
5. Tap the stake field, enter your stake (e.g. £5). The Place bet button turns yellow and shows stake and potential returns.
6. Tap Place Bet. On the confirmation you can enable live alerts, re-use selections, or tap Done.

Open bets then sit under My Bets on the bottom menu, where cash-out options appear if available.

How to register

How to verify a William Hill account

Decreases apply immediately. Increases must be confirmed again after 24 hours — a cooling-off step so limits can’t be raised on impulse.

How to change gaming time reminders

Gaming time reminders (reality checks) help you track how long you’ve been playing. On William Hill they apply to gaming only — not sports, poker or virtual betting — with 30-minute or one-hour options. A pop-up appears after the set period; you can dismiss it or close the app.

1. Open Gaming time reminders from Safer Gambling.

Time-outs temporarily block access for 1 to 42 days — useful for focus, travel or a short break. From Safer Gambling choose Take a Break or Close → Time Out, pick the number of days, then tap Set time out.

How to close a William Hill account

Account closure is permanent. Withdraw any remaining funds first. From Safer Gambling → Take a Break or Close → Account Closure, pick a reason (or prefer not to say), enter your password, and tap Close my account.

How to self-exclude

Self-exclusion sits between a time-out and full closure: blocks of six months up to five years. William Hill also links to GAMSTOP for multi-operator exclusion across UK online gambling brands.
