Cricket Betting Apps – The Top 10

Views From The Author

Nearly all bookmakers have a cricket presence on their betting apps. However, some put more focus in this sport than others. As a cricket fan and someone who has been logging in to multiple betting accounts daily for over a decade as a reviewer, I feel I am well placed to separate the good from the bad in this regard.

Questions answered

How long have you used the betting apps mentioned?

“This varies. Some of the apps I have been using for 15 years, some much less than that. However, all the apps I have mentioned I have an active account for personally. These are all apps I will look at when I am looking to place a bet on the cricket.”

What is your favourite feature when it comes to cricket betting?

I find the in-play visuals for cricket matches very intuitive and I regularly find myself following a game using this when the match is not being broadcast live.

Online Cricket Betting Apps – Available Markets

Bookmakers are getting more and more creative with their markets, especially since the introduction of the feature where you can request your own bets. This makes the possibilities pretty much endless, as long as the bookmaker is willing to price it up.

There is the obvious outright market, where you bet directly on who will win the match. However, just like with football, there are many other elements of cricket that have specific markets attached to them. Here is a non-exhaustive list to give some sort of idea of what is available.

• Match winner
• Method of dismissal
• Player to reach 50
• Next batter out
• Player runs
• Top match batter
• Player to reach 100
• Top match bowler
• Player to score the most runs
• Team with the highest opening partnership
• Most match fours
• Team with the most run outs
• 1st Scoring shot of the match (single, 4, 6, etc.)
• Most runs in a single over
• Six boundaries in an over (yes/no)
• Top team bowler
• Total sixes
• Match total boundaries
• Century to be scored in the match
• Fifty to be scored in the match
• First ball to be a dot (yes/no)
• The team runs in the first over
• The outcome of the first ball (wide, no ball, wicket, etc.)

Cricbuzz App

A quality app for cricket fans. There’s plenty of media content here to keep users bang up to date with the latest matches, be them the ones that have just been played, or the ones that are upcoming.

There’s a subscription service attached for those looking for an ad free experience and exclusive content. However there’s enough in the free version to make this worthwhile downloading.

England Cricket App

This app is very much like the ICC app, in terms of what sort of cricket content to expect. However, this app is focussed on what happens within England, from an international and domestic perspective.

Users can view all of the league tables, view past highlights and get a personalised look and feel, which is themed around the favourite teams selected.

Cricinfo App

The Cricinfo app is very well designed and is one of the best app choices for checking cricket scores and news on the go. There are widgets attached to the app that allow users to see the breaking headlines and scores without having to open the app.

For example, iOS users can check the widget on their homepage or simply check their wrist with the complimentary watch app. Android users have the ability to pin live scores to their screen, so that they can continue to browse other apps while keeping in the know.

CREX App

The CREX app used to be called the Cricket Exchange app has a dedicated team behind it who are constantly striving to make the experience a better one. The app gets updated more than once a month, on average, with a significant number of them adding new features to the app.

The interface looks smart and there’s in depth information analysis not only on teams, but individual players too. The ads can be a little annoying on the free version, as they are plenty of them, but these can be removed as part of the subscription service.
